I Made Fruit Salad

So I got creative tonight and made a fruit salad... And let me just tell you that it is delicious. It's so simple to make... All I had to do was cut up a bunch of fruit, toss in some pre-made fruit cups and voila! Tasty, tasty fruit salad. The fruits that I used were strawberries, green grapes, apples, watermelon, and cantalope.

I'm pretty proud of this concoction and my mom and sister seemed to like it too ;)

Never thought I would enjoy such light colors but I'm really feeling it for some reason :)

Now I'm going to go enjoy me a nice big glass of water. Parched!

Easter 2011

So Easter weekend just passed and I spent the majority of it up in Ottawa to celebrate with my family. I'm trying to think of something really exciting that we did, but basically we just ate. And ate. And ate some more. Turkey, veggies, potato, meatballs... Cookies, fruit salad, cinnamon loaf... you name it, we ate it! Oh... And I have proof that David had at least 15 cookies this weekend... Just thought that should be recorded. It's all in the pictures!

Eating cookies...
Still eating cookies....

List Girl

Here's a random list of things that have made me smile lately:

- Spending time with the boyfriend
- My new Adele CD
- For some weird reason, Tiffany & Co jewelry...
- Discount fashion websites like Beyondtherack.com & Hautelook.com
- Watching The Saccone Jolys on Youtube
- Drinking lotsa tea... and vanilla latte's from Starbucks
- Reading books from the library... and on that note:

- Waiting for things in the mail
- The day-after pain you get from a good leg workout
- Going shopping, not buying but just browsing

- Spending Saturday night with some fantastic old co-workers.

- Joined the library again after not being a member for.. like.. 5 years? Check out the books I borrowed:

I've always wanted to read some of Chuck Palahniuk's books but never got around to purchasing them. Now I get to read them for free. Woop!

Can't wait for next weekend.

Just Keep On Running

Bonjour!

I feel great- I just got in from a run. I would hope this statement would make me seem like some running addict who goes on runs every night... but the truth is that tonight is only my first night of working towards my new official goal: I want to be able to run outside for 30 minutes straight. We'll start small. I can run on the treadmill for a good amount of time, but c'mon, that hardly makes one a runner, right? I want to be a runner! And I want to get in shape! The best shape I can be in. Let's DO IT. With that being said, today I ran.... don't laugh.... 15 minutes! I would like to mention that I did some speed walking in addition to that... Haha!

Here's some random pictures I've been taking with my new camera.

Time for some tea.

Toooosday

Chooseday or Toosday?
Regardless, here's what I liked about TUESDAY:

- The fact that there is only 3 days left of work before the weekend.
- Going to see Source Code with my beloved boyfriend David. Umm, we're not really sure what happened at the end.. But it was good!

Didn't have much time to do anything else today...

Working For The Weekend

The weekend couldn't have come any slower and it couldn't have gone any faster. But it was good. Here's some highlights from my weekend:

- Friday Night: Putting tape all over Jaimee's (my sister) room with Dave. Bahahaha! The tape on the door didn't work so well but we taped her laptop shut and watching her trying to open it was HILARIOUS. April Fools, FOOL!

- Going for breakfast Saturday morning with David. Yummy deliciousness.

- Getting to meet a brand new baby puppy pug. So cute!

- I was supposed to go out with my sister Jaimee but we ended up staying in and watched 2 movies: Catfish and Buried. Buried was pretty bad but I do recommend Catfish. It's a good documentary style film about a disturbing discovery.

- Baking Sunday morning... Made some snickerdoodles with mini Reeses cups in the middle. I had planned to take a picture but I forgot and now most of them have been wrapped up and sent home with David and the ones left over were devoured by my family of animals.

- Going to the gym!! Yes this was a highlight of my weekend because it's the first time I've gone in awhile (due to being away on vacation and my new horrible schedule at work) and it felt absolutely fantastic.

- The fact that it is 9 degrees C outside today. And on this note... I'm going for a walk.

Lindsay
