It'll Be A Miracle

I'm trying to be positive so this is all I'm going to say on the subject:
- Hating: Work
- It'll Be a Miracle: If I get through this week, never even mind next week...
- Reminder to self: Don't reply when you're angry, don't decide when you're sad.

On the bright side, I did:

- Finish a book today, my 16th book of the year (yes, I do keep track). I really like James Patterson but to be honest this book did not capture me like his books usually do. They are a great easy read though.

- Received 2 packages in the mail. Got some new goodies...

E.L.F.
Skin79 BB Cream

Can't think of anything else... BRING ON FRIDAY!

Finally, A Hobby

Until recently, I've always believed myself to have no hobbies. Honestly? Who has no hobbies? Yeah, I'm a weirdo, but I really do feel like I'm hobby-less sometimes. I mean, I guess I could consider living a healthy lifestyle a hobby of some sort because I enjoy reading up on it and I am really interested in the subject but it's more of a lifestyle than anything else.

But guess what? My new camera = My new hobby. BAM.

I am loving:

- Learning all the modes and settings and everything else on the camera.
- My new card reader that actually lets me load my pictures onto the computer.
- Getting through 2 days of the work week.
- How good David looks, even after the gym ;)

Hey Handsome
That's all for now,

Say Cheese

Ahhhh! I'm obsessed. I bought a new camera today! It is beautiful. I got a DSLR (the Nikon D3100) and I can't put it down.

No pictures unfortunately... Because my computer doesn't have a memory card reader like the more modern computers and sadly it doesn't come with a a generic USB cable to upload the pics. Boooooo! Must go out and purchase a memory card reader. Oh well, they are cheap and it will come in handy.

That, along with the fact that David got news about doing well at his interview, are the highlights of my day =)

For now, here's what the beauty looks like:

B-e-a-utiful!

Meet David

Blog, meet David. He's a little bit more than all right ;)

One of the reasons I started writing this blog is because of the guy below. The smiles he can put on my face and the laughs he can squeeze from me are incomparable. I thought to myself, a week or so ago, as we were driving home singing together like crazy people that I never want to forget moments like that... Singing (screaming/screeching) like fools in the car... or better yet, arriving home, car turned off, song not finished, unanimous decision to continue singing in the car until our moment of fame was over. I love that we are comfortable enough with each other to act completely nutso around each other... often.

The most recent action shot of David

Without further ado, he's mah list of good things:
- Letting people's positive comments about my new bank branch ease some of the pressure and stress I've been feeling.
- Dancing in my living room/bathroom with the boy above. I suddenly realize we bust out moves in a lot of random places. You should see his ER dance....
- Seeing a good movie: Limitless
- Ah.. really just loving this boy named David.

Sweet dreams,

Talking Myself Into It

I work at a bank. I'm fresh out of training (currently working, unofficially, at the branch I trained at). I love the branch I work at. Today I found out I have to go to a different one. Not to be "officially placed" but to start training for a position that no one else wants to apply for. It's not as bad as it sounds, this particular position is not one to avoid. In fact, it's a good position. Why does no one else want it? Oh well.

At first I was really sad to know I was going to leave. I'm the type of person who needs quite a bit of time to warm up to new environments and people, so I was really hoping I would be "officially placed" in the branch I trained at... but unfortunately they don't need people.

But I'm sucking it up... I know in the end this is a good thing. Funny enough, I got a email forwarded to me at work today- it's like 120 pages long and it's about Feeling Good. I randomly scrolled to a random page and on this page it said "This is an opportunity to grow, learn, practice patience." And I guess it is.

So here I go... Things That Made Me Smile Today:

- Talking myself into believing this job location switch could potentially be a good thing.

- Running on the treadmill for the first time in a long time.

- Knowing I get to see my old co-workers tomorrow.... Man I miss them!

- Getting paid. Of course.

I think I need to start taking my camera around and taking more pictures.

WINNING

A good solid list of good things from today (who doesn't love a good list?!):

- Winning a free coffee from Timmies.
- Jaimee (the sister) buying me a drink at Timmies.
- Buying 8 necklaces & a pair of sandals for $20. Would have cost $130 at full price! Scoooore.
- Being hyper. I chased the dog around the house like a crazy person for more minutes than I want to admit to.
- And last but not definitely not least..... David (the boyfriend) doing well at a very important interview! So proud of him. :) He is going to be an amazing teacher soon.

The Dog Days Are Over

Tuesday Smiles for:

- Florence and The Machine... Especially that part of the song "And I never wanted anything from you, except everything you had and what was left after that too! Oh!" Haha, LOVE IT.

- Biting the bullet and paying 2 bills due soon.

- Walking at night and seeing the stars. Winter, are you over yet? 'Cause Spring is my new best friend and I miss her. Walking at night = NICE. And on that note....

- My new found love for walking!

- My great aunt's surgery going well... :)

PEACE,
Lindsay xo
Not the stars I saw, lol.

Ho Hum

To be honest there is not very much for me to be happy about today. It's so frustrating to watch someone do something that makes so many people unhappy but not be in a position where you can say something to them. So nahh, it wasn't the best of days.

On a positive note:

- Had a good exercise day: Walked 30 mins outside and ran at the gym

- Had the day off .... Too bad I work 10 out of the next 11 days.

Can't think of anything else. I'm going to bed!

Happiness Hit Her

I didn't do very much today but here are a few things that put a smile on my face:

- Successfully completed Day 2 of walking an hour everyday. My mom and I walked for over an hour and a half today and it felt great.

- Got news that my cousin Tanya is going to be getting married. So so happy for her! Her and Nick make such a great couple and I can't wait for their wedding.

- The picture below from my vacation this month... :)
