I work at a bank. I'm fresh out of training (currently working, unofficially, at the branch I trained at). I love the branch I work at. Today I found out I have to go to a different one. Not to be "officially placed" but to start training for a position that no one else wants to apply for. It's not as bad as it sounds, this particular position is not one to avoid. In fact, it's a good position. Why does no one else want it? Oh well.
At first I was really sad to know I was going to leave. I'm the type of person who needs quite a bit of time to warm up to new environments and people, so I was really hoping I would be "officially placed" in the branch I trained at... but unfortunately they don't need people.
But I'm sucking it up... I know in the end this is a good thing. Funny enough, I got a email forwarded to me at work today- it's like 120 pages long and it's about Feeling Good. I randomly scrolled to a random page and on this page it said "This is an opportunity to grow, learn, practice patience." And I guess it is.
So here I go... Things That Made Me Smile Today:
- Talking myself into believing this job location switch could potentially be a good thing.
- Running on the treadmill for the first time in a long time.
- Knowing I get to see my old co-workers tomorrow.... Man I miss them!
- Getting paid. Of course.
I think I need to start taking my camera around and taking more pictures.
xox,
Lindsay
