Here's a selection of pictures from this summer. Most of them are just Dave and I since I don't know how others would feel about being on the internet. I'll keep the pictures smaller so this post is not too obnoxious.
C'est tout.
Now I want frozen yogurt.

It's Almost Midnight and I'm Gonna Blog
I was lying in bed listening to my ipod and I suddenly felt like blogging. Music will do that to you.
I'm gonna backtrack to a post I posted and unposted and then copied and saved on my computer back in June. I quit my job at that time that I had since January and then blogged about it. I wrote about a lot of things that I hated about the job (the reasons I quit) but I ended my blog post by saying what I learnt from the experience. I'm going to re-copy the things I learnt right now, just as a self-reminder and for documenting purposes.
"I thank you for giving me a goal, for giving me experience, for showing me what I don't ever want to do, or for that matter, what I never want to come, for making me grateful for the genuine people in my life, for pushing me to make decisions, for teaching me things about myself, as well as teaching me how never to treat others, and most of all, despite all the things I dislike about you, I thank you for making me realize that I don't deserve all that BS.. and now I will proceed to skip on out the door with a big ass smile on my face. Oh and thanks for the paid vacation ;)"
Right after I quit my job I did the "walk of shame" back to my old job, which in fact wasn't so shameful because they welcomed me back with open arms and because I get to see some of my favourite people every week. I am, however, continuously looking for an actual "grown-up" job. I have my sights set on something and I'm determined and willing to wait for it. I've had one interview so far and didn't get it, but everything happens for a reason. I've continued to apply for different positions at the same place so time will tell.
What else... Oh, David got a job and is an OFFICIAL teacher with his own classroom filled with kids, desks, books and everything. Couldn't be more proud! I've known him since he had Gym class as 3rd period or whatever in highschool, so to see him start his own classroom is just amazing. He has his first official day with the kids tomorrow and I know he's going to do great.
Besides that, summer has been filled with swimming, cottage time, yummy food, good times, lots of laughs and the best of friends.
Lots of love,
Lindsay
